November Rain: Rules
Welcome to November Rain! My name is Katelynn, and I'm your admin here! Now, this is your usual rules thread, you should know most of them but please read them anyways! On to the pieces of information that you'll have to follow as a member of November Rain.
Rules added during the last modification are underlined.
Respect; please be respectful of everyone out of character, regardless of if your characters get along or not, especially the staff. If someone is being rude to you out of character please pm a staff member to handle the situation.
Respect; In Character; Do not control other peoples' characters. Do not make your character do everything right. Do not force ideas on to someone - if they don't want to participate in your plot, they simply don't. Don't return a line of writing if you're given three paragraphs. Have respect in character as well as out of character.
Registering; please join with a reasonable username. A couple ideas for usernames are your name/alias followed by the character number (eg, katey 1, katey2 for me) or your character's first name.
Applications; NR has a very short, very easy application to fill out. You need to have your app up and completed within a week of making your account or else your account will be deleted.
Characters; you may have as many characters as you want as long as you keep them active. Please keep the gender ratios in mind when you make a character - I don't want to put a "one boy per two girls" rule on or ban females so don't make me. Please log in and post with all your characters at least once a week.
Characters - Sues; You may not have any sort of mary sue. Deeming a character a mary sue/gary stu is at the staff member's discretion, but generally occurs to characters with no character flaws, are too perfect, or even the exact opposite - too imperfect, every thing goes wrong, blah blah blah. No one likes those characters. If you don't know if your character is a sue, try a mary sue litmus test - they're a google search away. They're not always right, though.
Posting; NR has no word count. We believe in quality over quanitity. Your posts can be as short or as long as you want, but please be respectful of your roleplaying partner - don't give a one liner in response to a well thought out post. Actually, try to keep one liners to a minimum. However, proper grammar and spelling are a must, and do your best to keep the plot moving and give your partner something good to respond to. Rapidfire threads are also welcome here.
Major Events; major events like pregnancy, death, et cetera must be cleared with an admin first. You'll more than likely get the okay for it, we don't bite, we just want to know what's up!
Graphics, don't stretch the board. Avatars are required and should be 150x150px. Signatures aren't required, but if you have one it should be at most 500x250px. Don't stretch the board.
Ratings; proboards TOS required a pg-13 rating on every forum on their system. NR will follow this. You can mention sex, drugs, et cetera but you must fade those sort of events to black.
