Appearance:
Danny's on the cute side, at least he thinks he is. He's 5'8" tall with an average build for his height. His hair is naturally dark brown, almost black, and when it grows out it likes to wave a little bit. He has big greenish-brown eyes and a friendly smile of white teeth. Danny has several tattoos, the most prominent being a lion on his forearm. On his left wrist is a treble clef and on his right wrist is a bass clef - he's obviously a fan of music.
Danny's taste in fashion is fairly simple - he wears a lot of band stuff related to his favorite bands, and he likes to wear darker coloured muscle shirts and plaid button downs in addition to that. He generally wears normal jeans, not skinnies, and he doesn't tend to add any fancy shoes, hats, whatever, to his attire.

Personality:
On the reserved side, Danny is an introvert. He enjoys time to himself, with his guitar or movies or music or all of the above, and he appreciates the calmness of being alone. He doesn't see it as lonely, and he doesn't understand how people can want to be surrounded by others all the time. He hates attention, and being around more than two other people makes him want to leave the room. He also doesn't understand people who talk and talk and talk, but he'd much rather be a listener than a talker anyway. It's easy to make him disinterested in what's being said, though- if it's not a topic he's directly in to his mind will waver in to thoughts of other things quite quickly. He doesn't trust people very much, though he'll give you the benefit of the doubt and believe you're honest with him until you give him reason to think otherwise. Danny himself is an honest man, but under pressure he's quick to lie his way out if need be.
Danny's got a musical side to him, most definitely - he started learning to play guitar at age ten. He also knows how to play the saxophone, the drums and the piano, though he doesn't often admit to the last one. He give lessons to people who don't know how to play for a job, and it makes him quite happy to do that.
Danny has a huge thing for self respect and caring for yourself, and he will do anything he can to make people see the potential in themselves when they're down. He went through a two year stout of depression after his mother and sister died, and ever since that happened he's tried his hardest to support loving yourself to both him and those around him. He respects his body for the most part, minus the smoking and drinking habits that he picked up over the years. He isn't attracted to people who look down on themselves or don't respect themselves enough. Girls who cling to attention so that they don't feel like shit make him want to help them instead of sleep with them, and he wishes they'd have decency and listen to him when he says that their self worth isn't in other people. He sees a difference between a girl who has a lot of sex and a girl who doesn't care for herself, though - one does it because they want to, the other does it to try and make themselves feel better. The first is fine with him, the second is not. It's possible to respect yourself and have sex at the same time, despite what most people seem to think. It's just the reasoning behind why you do it.
If you do appeal to him, Danny can be quite flirty and romantic, and he does his best to respect women and stuff. Obviously he's not perfect about it, but he tries to be respectful.
Danny also can't handle any form of stress - if he gets stressed out, he finds himself physically sick to his stomach and unable to think straight at all. It's been this way since the accident, and during that time he found himself over toilet bowl for many, many reasons.

History Overview;
Danny was the second born out of three children - the only boy, and the one to suffer from what's known as "middle child syndrome". His older sister, Kiera, was born four years before him. His little sister, Mariah, was born three years after him. His parents were married, the relationship between them was great, and all was good for the little family. They were a happy family, though obviously it had its troubles, and Danny often felt undermined by those around him. Kiera was the "perfect" child - smart and funny, always getting good grades, part of the "right crowd". Or, at least, that's what their parents though. Danny was one of the only people who knew that his sister wasn't as perfect as she seemed, and he's walked in to her room while she was smoking (both weed and cigarettes) before. Not caring to cause any drama, he didn't tell his parents. Mariah was a cry baby and irritated the life out of Danny, so he did his best to avoid her and the trouble that came with her.
Danny was fifteen when his life changed for the worst. It was a Saturday night, at around 10 at night. His mother was driving home from picking up Kiera from a friend's house.
She never made it home that night.
They got the call at 10:22pm, and Danny and Mariah were rushed out of the door by their father, who immediately rushed them to a scene two blocks away where a large truck had ran in to the side of a very familiar car, pushing it until it was crunched up to a pole. "Dead on impact," they were told - both of the people in the car. That night, Danny lost his mother and his sister in one go. The driver of the truck had been drunk, blowing a 0.24 on a breathalyzer.
Daddy started changing that night. He wouldn't eat, he wouldn't sleep. It was three weeks before Danny and his little sister even heard his voice again, and even after that he was never quite the same. Johnathan, their mom's father and their grandfather, took Danny and Mariah in when it became apparent that James wouldn't be able to care for his kids in the state that he was in. Danny and his grandfather grew quite close during their time together, and Danny actually sees him as more a father figure than his own father. Years passed before James seemed okay again. Danny was almost eighteen by then, and about to start college, but Mariah was only fifteen and returned to living with her father. Danny and James never quite returned to talking again, and their relationship has been strained and distant ever since the accident.
During the first couple years after the accident, Danny went through a long-term bout of depression. During this time he participated in self harming behaviors, mostly burning his wrists. During this time he started drinking heavily and smoking a lot - both cigarettes and marijuana. He found his happiness in how fucked up he could get in one day, and during this time he made a point to have as much sex as he could to. It was a rough time in his life, and he genuinely hated himself. Danny was forced to get medical help after his grandfather walked in on him trying to kill himself.
The words that were said to him that day were what made him smarten up - "what if Mariah had been the one to find you, and what if she'd been too late?" Scarred by the idea of his little sister seeing such a thing, Danny took all the help he could get. He was on antidepressants for almost a year after he left the hospital. He got better. He stopped smoking weed and he cut back, majorly, on the drinking. He still smokes regularly, and he drinks pretty much every weekend, but he looks back on this period of his life, from ages fourteen to sixteen, and he uses it to go farther in where he is now. Because of this he has a lot of compassion for struggling teenagers, and he really does his best to help people be their best.
Danny went through school to get a degree in music, though know he doesn't really know what to do with it. He's tempted to go in to education, but that's a choice he's not quite ready to make. For now he spends his time working as an instructor at a local music shop and getting drunk on the weekends. He's currently living life day by day and doing his best to make the most of it. His little sister's nineteen now, and though he never started talking to his dad again, Danny and Mariah are thick as thieves and he's incredibly protective of his little sister.
