"Why yes, I do," Aria retaliated, taking one hand away from the branch she was using to support her upper hand to swat lightly at his leg. "I think that's quite rude of you," she stated, eyes narrowing and eyebrows furrowing slightly as she did so. She had to admit, Dominic was turning out to be pretty nice, and once she started letting go of her reservations about him and being more herself, things seemed to get even better.

"Oh?" Dominic returned, struggling to maintain a straight face and not start laughing at Aria's falsely angered expression. Instead a smirk formed on his face, and he extended one arm to hold on to the branch she was resting on, leaning forward in an almost precarious manner. All that could be said about that was that if his hand slipped, or his legs slipped, Dominic Briscoe would be tumbling out of that tree in two seconds flat.
"Well, I think you're rude for calling me rude," he opted to say. He was rather enjoying the little banter they had going on. Straightening himself back up, let laughed a little.
"You know what? You're really cool."

Aria was taken off guard by his sudden change in behaviour, and what he had to say. It was in a good way, and his words made her feel warm and happy, almost tingly in a way. Naturally, a smile formed on her face as her eyes scanned Dominic. She suddenly felt rather shy, a common occurrence in her when someone said anything remotely complimentary to her.
"Thanks," she said. Though it sounded almost like a question, Aria was quite pleased that he'd said that about her. She wouldn't say it, but she thrived off of having others compliment her - while some people were bashful and hated it, Aria loved it.
"You're pretty cool too," she offered in return, giving him her genuine thoughts of what she'd seen of him so far.

"I'm glad you think that." Dominic was just as surprised as she evidently was to hear the compliment, and it brought a grin back to his face. It was great that things seemed to be going well with Aria. If he had his way, he would be seeing her again.. And again... And again - in a non-creepy sort of way. She was gorgeous and funny, just his type. He liked her company, and her face, and pretty much everything he knew about her.

Aria smiled bigger in return at his smile. She was quickly becoming uncomfortable in her spot in the tree, though, so she ducked her head under the branch the same way she'd came from. Stretching her leg out to the other side of the branch that Dominic was on, she awkwardly made her way over to that branch, resting with her back against the trunk and her legs dangling loosely.
"What time is it?" She asked him, noticing that the sky hard darkened even further. Of course it had - but she hadn't really been paying any attention to the sky. Plus, she hadn't known the time in the first place, so it probably was good to ask. Aria figured that he had a phone in his pocket or something.

Dominic fumbled around in his pocket after Aria asked for the time, pulling his iPhone out and lighting up the screen. "9:54," he told her before unlocking the device to check his messages - it was a quick scan, there was nothing new for him to look at. Putting his phone back in to his pocket, he spoke again. "When do you want to head home?" He asked her, looking down at the ground below them. From the angle he was at, the drop looked a lot higher than it really was.

9:54, that probably meant that Aria had been right in assuming it was about 9:30 when she'd first arrived in Foster Park. It felt like a half hour or about that long had passed, which was reasonable. She wriggled around a little on the branch, hands holding on to the branch in front of her with the thumbs touching. "Uh, we probably should head home," she admitted, taking one hand off the branch and using it to push a string of red hair out of her face.
At that moment, she lost her balance and tipped sideways. She let out a startled scream as her head hit the branch to their left and fall to the ground. She landed hard on her butt, but luckily the fall was pretty small.
"I'm okay," she mumbled, dazed, as she forced herself to sit up on the ground.

"Oh fuck," Dominic managed to get out before leaping down from the tree to get down to Aria. He landed in a crouched position, and leaned forwards toward her, inspecting her for bruising or anything. "Are you sure you're okay, Aria?" He asked, eyes filled to the brim with concern as his hand lightly skimmed the side of her face, down her arm. How long ago had it been that he'd been thinking her falling out of the tree? Luckily, it was a short fall, but she could still get pretty banged up from it.

Aria quickly gave a dazed nod, slightly in shock from the sudden impact with the ground. "I'm fine, let's go," she said, fumbling around until she was on her feet. She would be fine, she was sure of it, but there was a stinging ache in the back of her head, and her tailbone hurt like mad from when she landed on the ground, not to mention she had scrapes on her arms and legs now. It mostly seemed superficial. Seemed at least - she was unaware of the bleeding gash on the back of her head that was causing the stinging pain that she felt. Aria wobbled a bit, and rested her hand against the tree trunk to support her.
"Yeah, let's go," she said again, shaking her head just lightly and glancing up at Dominic.

Dominic rested his hand on the pretty young woman's shoulder when she started wobbling, doing what he could to steady her. "Okay, if you're sure you can walk at this moment," he said. He was more than willing to wait a little while longer, especially if it was better for her to do that. In fact, he wanted to. He wanted her to sit back down and wait a little, at least until she was properly able to steady herself. It wouldn't be a long time, most likely, but it would make him feel a lot better. "But I really think you should sit down for a moment, Ar."

Aria nodded, mumbling a little before lowering her body back in to a sitting position. She tucked her knees to her chest and rested her forehead atop them, waiting for the soreness and pain in her legs and head to fade before getting back up - Dominic was right, resting it out for a few minutes before leaving would probably be a good idea - for all she knew she was concussed from when her head bashed off the tree branch.

Dominic leaned over and positioned himself at Aria's side, placing one hand behind her back. He kept a watchful eye on her, head hovering close to hers with a soft, caring expression written on his face. He didn't touch her, not wanting to disturb her. "How are you feeling?" He questioned, raising his supporting hand to run lightly through the back of her hair.

Aria let out a whimper and recoiled her head away from Dominic's touch as his hand brushed against the back of her skull. "My head's sore, please don't," she mumbled, blinding swatting his hand away from her before looking up at the young man beside her. She was fine - Aria was rarely not fine, and that wasn't going to chance because of a small drop and a whirly head.
"Come on, let's go," she said, insisting that they head home. She'd now had more than enough of sitting, and she was anxious to just get the trip over with now, and lie down in her bed. Aria adjusted the angle of her head, her gray-green eyes meeting with Dominic's.

He pulled his head back the instant that she let out a small pained moan, eyes going wide as he saw the coppery coloured liquid that was on several of his fingertips. "Yeah it hurts," he explained, moving his hand around her body and in to her sight so she could see exactly why it was hurting - head wounds were painful. "You're head's bleeding," he stated, though that was fairly obvious at this point. His tone was flooded with worry, and he wasn't sure at all what to do. Did he call an ambulance, try and get her home. Oh God, what was this?

"I'm going to be okay," Aria told him, a serious tone rising in to her voice as she clambered to her feet, extending her arm towards Dominic in a motion that told him to get up. Her other hand went to the back of her head, where the sticky warm substance oozing out of her scalp and on to her fingers confirmed exactly what Dominic had found.
Oh well, she was probably concussed - it wasn't the first time that would have happened to her in her life, and she didn't like how much fuss the brown haired boy was putting towards her because of her fall. She wasn't a porcelain doll, smooth and fragile. She was a grown woman, perfectly capable of handling a little tumble out of a tree.
